1. Information We Collect

Sway collects minimal data to operate the service:

• Device Identifier: A randomly generated ID stored on your device, used to associate polls with your device and prevent duplicate votes. This is not linked to your Apple ID or personal identity.
• Poll Content: The questions and options you create are stored on our servers to enable voting.
• Vote Data: When someone votes, we store a hashed version of their device identifier and their selected option. We do not store raw device IDs for voters.
• Browser Fingerprint: On the web voting page, we generate a browser fingerprint (screen size, timezone, etc.) to help prevent duplicate voting. This data is hashed and not personally identifiable.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• Location data
• Contacts or photos
• Browsing history
• Advertising identifiers

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information solely to:

• Display your polls and their results
• Prevent duplicate voting
• Send push notifications about new votes (Premium subscribers only, with your permission)
• Enforce usage limits based on subscription tier

4. Data Storage

Poll data is stored on Google Firebase servers. Polls are automatically deleted after they expire (within 24 hours of expiration). Local poll history is stored on your device using SwiftData.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties. We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.

6. Children's Privacy

Sway is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Data Deletion

You can delete your local poll data at any time through the Settings screen in the app. Polls on the server are automatically deleted after expiration. To request deletion of specific server data, contact us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
